iTunes Going to the Clouds...

If you're like me, you enthusiastically purchase a new computer, only to realize the daunting task of moving your media library over.  Well that issue is about to be done for, that is, when Apple completes their launch of iTunes.com - the rumored cloud version of iTunes.

It was only a matter of time until this happened, especially following Apple's latest acquisition of lala.com - the hugely popular, online cloud music service.  This is a great move for Apple, and a great deal of "strategery" seems to be taking place under Steve Jobs' watchful eye.  That is, with release of the iSlate, or Apple Tablet, or whatever you want to call it, an online cloud sort of environment is just what the doctor ordered.

If it is truly a cloud service, implying no need to download videos, music, and other media...that could be absolutely awesome in terms of memory management.  Now it isn't such a bad thing to go with a thin, chic-looking little tablet, because you don't need the 100+ GB for all your plethora of media.  Just let Apple handle it with their bundles of money they are going to earn this year.  Not a bad trade I reckon...

Look for the iTunes preview page sometime this quarter, just to get a taste...

For now, you may just to make use of Mojo - the best way I've found to share your library with other computers...It looks like Apple shut it down on their main site, but if you go to the following link, you can download it...not sure for how long...but get it while you can and you can share your iTunes library with others on your network...It is definitely toastworthy!

Until then, we'll just have to wait until the mass of circulating rumors over Apple's head clears up...it should be an exciting year!
